PHOEBE BRIDGERS: STRANGER IN THE ALPS
Phoebe Bridgers’ Stranger in the Alps was the album I looped pretty much exclusively as I became acquainted with the city, memorizing street names and subway lines, paving my own meaning over a place that had lived and bustled on before me for centuries. I interviewed Phoebe and wrote an essay about my experience with the album and New York.
Noah Gundersen's new record is a shift from his previous work both stylistically and contextually: while his prior acoustic-folk releases grappled with themes of flagrantly vulnerable spiritual ambivalence, WHITE NOISE feels like an exhale. I spoke to Noah about the album and the absolute bedlam of being in your twenties.
I interviewed Jenny Welbourn (known for her YouTube channel WearILive) about sustainable living, her fashion favorites, and life in New York City. It appears as the cover story of Local Wolves Magazine's Jan/Feb Fresh Take issue.
LIZA ANNE: FINE BUT DYING
Liza Anne isn’t watering down her big, ugly emotions anymore. Instead, she’s confronting them head-on, becoming vulnerable in a way that can only be championed by garnering a little bit of violence. I talked to Liza Anne about her newest album Fine But Dying and being an Enneagram 4.
